Extremely well-written, readable. Here, you can learn about airfoil (hydrofoil) theory in detail, all the way through induction effects (drag and change of angle of inflow). I read it to understand outboard racing propellers. There's is no tractable theory of the latter because of asymmetry, and because racing propellers are surfacing propellers. So you learn what you can from airfoil theory and the rest is engineering via the seat of the pants, try something and then test it to see how it works. I did that for 9 years and set 3 APBA OPC speed records along with winning 6 National Championships, so the method worked pretty well in practice for me but left the most interesting questions about what propellers are doing unanswered.

Arrived on time, perfect condition.

An awesome book from professor John Nicholas Newman from the MIT Center of Oceanic Engineering, it covers all the important knowledge of Hydrodynamics, however I wouldn't recommend it for beginners.

If you never studied fluid mechanics before I recommend reading the book Fluid Mechanics from White.

A clear exposition of the book of Hebrews. What I like is that Dr. KENT will give you the 3 or 4 views on a passage and present them fairly and then give his position and why. Even when you find yourself not agreeing with Kent on this or that issue, you leave understanding the issues better and why that issue is important.

Make this your first ASP.NET book

This book is fantastic for self-study and the only prerequisite is that you should have some understanding of C#. I bought Essential ASP.NET by Fritz Onion before this one but it was a little hard to follow at first - also, it deals more with ASP.NET architecture and internals and isn't so practical if you have to start building ASP.NET applications right away. I assure you this one can get you started in 2 to 3 days if you know C#. It covers all the major topics, doesnt have any mistakes (at least I couldn't fine any), has superb explanations and straightforward coding examples. It even teaches you ADO.NET if you dont know that already.

The book is very helpful to "newbies" as well as "veterans" of the cattle business. We've just started with our Lowlines and they are wonderful. The book has helped us prioritize some things and getting the pastures in good condition is at the top of the list. With good pastures comes good beef.

Mrs. Hayes has written in terms that anyone can understand. The language is concise and the book is an enjoyable read. Understanding some of the Aussie terms she used was a fun challenge at times, but once I had them Americanized I had no problems understanding what she was talking about.

Thanks for a good solid book about Lowline facts and good pasture management.

About the Author
After spending fifteen years in the U.S. as a venture capitalist on Wall Street, Wu Jing-Nuan returned to Asia to train in healing modalities. He has studied and been associated with Dhammasaro Bhikku, Yang Chia, and Professor Hsu Hung. Wu has been in private practice in Washington, D.C., since 1973 and is the founder of the Taoist Health Institute, which provides both traditional and modern medical services.

Accurate enough for understanding Philosophy

I let my (Chinese-born) teacher read some of this version of the Spiritual Pivot. He has studied Classical Chinese Medicine under 3 different well-known (Chinese) Masters over the course of nearly 30 years. His understanding of the Spiritual Pivot is quite deep - and he lectures on various chapters of it in Vancouver BC.

In his opinion, it is only about 60% accurate in terms of the specifics. However, he states that this translation is certainly good enough to aid in one's comprehension of the (very necessary) fundamentals of classical Chinese thought.

I would wish to see some few original chinese words specially of acupuncture points, body places and procedures to explain more clearly certain subjects.

Chinese healing arts

I found this book to be very interesting. Wu's translation and interpretation was good. The book is really for students of acupuncture and Chinese medicine (TCM). Casual readers might find the text tedious and redundant. I got a lot of useful information about Chinese healing methods that I incorporated into my Qigong classes. I would only recommend this book to serious students; mainly for reference.
