This is the kind of book everyone should read, both for how Paul shares his journey, as well as sharing his experiences in training. What I really like about his book is how down to earth and Real he is. This speaks volumes, along with the recommendations of other leading trainers in the opening of the book. This is a MUST read for anyone seeking to train for health, muscle, in a rational proven way.

I just had the pleasure of reading Paul’s E-Book “Rational Resistance Training.” I found it to be an enjoyable read, full of honest information on training, Paul’s training history, why he does what he does, and how. Best description I can think of is this, “It’s a Training Primer.” You can spend much more money on books that don’t have near the explanation nor the information contained in his E-Book. No fluff, just good common sense training. Hence the name “Rational Resistance Training.” Well done Paul.

This is not the sort of book that would normally find its way onto my bed side table, but I was sure glad to have had the opportunity of reading it, and would highly recommend it as a must read for the young/ adolescent generation of today and for anyone else wishing to enjoy three score years + ten with a full set of teeth. Many questions answered and a great leap forward for the usually daunting dental experience; thank you Dr Bonsall.

Track or road, this is about the forces that apply

This book is all about the general theory behind suspension, frames, and tires. It provides a host of formulas complete with supporting graphics. Great stuff to impress your friends. What this book is not is a how-to manual for setting up a race bike, and/or resolving the likes or real world scenarios you would encounter on or off the track. The chapter on engines is mostly about vibrations, forces of rotations, and how they bolt into frames. The language conversion (Italian to English) is proper, but not smooth-often making it hard to determine if he's staying on the subject. If you want one book to learn the most from, buy Keith Cameron's Sport Bike Performance Handbook (ISBN076030229). If you have money left over, buy this one. However, this book would be a great (okay...excellent) gift item for anyone that rides street or track performance motos. By the way, it equally covers Italian, Japanese and German designs.

If you like the technical part of motorcycling, you need this.

Very technical but in a easy, flowing way. You don't need to be an engineer to read, understand and enjoy it. And once you do, you'll understand so much more what your bike does and why. You'll also understand why you don't see balloon tyres and other bling accessories on racing bikes.

Great for learning the theory, but....

...don't take everything as gospel. This isn't to say Mr. Cocco doesn't know what he's talking about, as he obviously does - he just sometimes doesn't make things very clear when he's using English as opposed to Italian. Some of it is rough translation, while some of it is just shoddy editing. In particular, I think whoever edited it didn't do much math or engineering. Some of the equations themselves have typos (an explaination of an equation describes two different variables when only one exists in the equation... but twice), many of the variables aren't explained, and some equations just don't make sense (a force divided by a distance equals another force). And the chapter on aerodynamics needs to be reworked - there are a few times when downforce and lift are used interchangeably even though they're opposing each other, and since those are the key points in the chapter it makes the rest of it harder to follow.

That being said, if you just take this as basic theory and don't try to build any mathematical models or anything off it, it's an excellent source of info. Mr. Cocco is one of the best in the field and does a good job of getting fairly specific in a relatively short book. The illustrations are great in demonstrating ideas that are hard to visualize just based on his writing, and the equations, if not completely accurate/explained, give a good basic idea of how the stuff is looked at analytically. It's also nice to have a book dedicated just to describing the dynamics and forces involved. So if you're looking for anything regarding engine tuning, look elsewhere. The extent to which engines are involved here are their affects on weight transfer, CG height, etc...

The blossoming area of behavioral economics is especially appropriate for application to solid waste management decisions, and the Handbook contains new research contributions that add to this expanding literature.

Readership will be broad including academic economists researching waste issues and researchers specializing in waste management and more widely in environmental policy, behavioral economics, and public economics. International policymakers engaged in waste management decisions will find the work enlightening.

"Aimed at a more scholarly audience, the New Cambridge Shakespeare produces superb editions that rank with the Arden and the Oxford as the best in the business. This year's The Winter's Tale is no exception. Edited by the late Susan Snyder and Deborah T. Curren-Aquino, this edition has a lucid and intelligent introduction that covers all of the crucial elements of this complicated late play: genre; Leontes' jealousy; the bear; Time; act V and the ending. There is also a fascinating discussion of the revision theory-Forman did not mention the statue scene in his 1611 account of the play, after all-but the edition decides against the theory, in spite of Snyder's having made the most eloquent case for it in 2002. There is a very useful discussion of sources, the notes to the play are exemplary, and the Selected Reading list is both excellent and up-to-date. Although the appendix concentrates on performance issues (Forman's notes on the play, doubling possibilities, key staging choices, a performance chronology), the edition is notable for its blend of textual and performance discussions. Especially effective is the decision to match photographs of the play in performance with the thematic issues under discussion. The visual variations on the statue scene are especially welcome and will be a boon in the classroom. Finally, although it has become fashionable in recent years for critics, editors, and directors to darken the ending, this edition opts for ambiguity rather than pessimism and seems truer to The Winter's Tale's hybrid, tragicomic spirit as a result."

Fantastically fantastic!!

This is one of Shakespeare's most enigmatic and complex plays and is an overall great read!! This resists categorization as either a comedy and instead is considered to be a romance, having been written towards the end of Shakespeare's life. It's as fantastical as "The Tempest," as bitter as "King Lear" and as gratifying as "Much Ado About Nothing" all at once. It includes the usual Shakespearian staples of kings and cuckoldry but also includes some unexpected elements such as an oracle from Apollo, the appearance of Time as a character and even a bear chase!! I don't want to spoil anyone's fun by revealing any of the essential plot details but, suffice it say, you will not be disappointed- it is a truly enthralling read!!
